Little Misters Two Week Newborn Photos

One of my very best friends, who just so happens to be the best photographer, offered to gift me newborn pictures .Amy has taken all of the pictures that I cherish the most of Mark and me, and we were so lucky to have her take pictures of our little man. She also captured our very first family pictures, and I love them so much! Seriously, this girl knows what she is doing, she could make anyone look good, I swear!

I was only two weeks post-partum in these pictures and I was scared that I would hate them, but instead I look at them and feel beautiful.

Sure my body is changed, I’m still poufy from retaining water and swelling etc... but it’s a body that brought a healthy baby boy into this world, it did hard work for 9.5 months, birthed a baby ( which wasn't an easy task) and will continue to grow that baby until I decide to stop breastfeeding, I feel that I have a new found love for it, and all its changed after baby imperfections.

These pictures are special to me, and I’m so glad I have them. I’m happy I can look back and see how little and perfect my son is, and how beautiful my new family of three is.

Ryker is going to be six weeks old on Thursday! Time has gone by so fast, and he is changing so much. He is really starting to fill out, his little legs and arms and face are getting chunky! It seems every other day he is changing and doing new things. He’s started making cooing noises and he’s so much more alert than he was. It’s really fun to see him change!

Being a mother is easily one of the hardest jobs I’ve ever had. That being said, I love it. I love taking care of him, even when I’m so tired, and he wakes up every 2.5-3 hours to eat during the night. I remind myself that these days won’t last forever, and it’s evident, because of how fast he is changing already.

I’d do it all again to get him here, or another sibling (although, not anytime soon, and I’m hoping next delivery will go a little easier). We love this little boy so much, and are so blessed to have him join our family!
