Aquascaping. It's so fetch.

Okay, so when I was twelve I wanted an Aquarium. So my dad being the good dad that he is, got me a 29 gallon tank. I was in love. Obviously, since I love most things to do with animals, even if it's just fish. When I moved out, my Sweet mom took the tank with her. She has had this tank for a while now, it's been at least 6 years I'd say. Anyway, my husband and me live in a little basement apartment, and even though we foster dogs and puppies sometimes, we aren't supposed to have pets. Since both of us are big animal lovers, we got a 2.5 gallon fish tank and we have a beta fish named Mr. Fish, and a recently a little Otocinclus that is cleaning the algae out of his tank. This is Mr. Fish, and part of an Anubis plant. and this is what an Otocinclus looks like, these little guys only get to be about 2" at most, and they eat algae for a living. They are pros, and will clean your plants really good. We also put a few live plants in there. The be...

Animals and my childhood.

My Childhood was filled with stray animals wondering into my yard, sometimes injured or sick, and me doing my best to convince my parents to let me keep every single one of them. The list of animals included multiple cats, sick wild birds and a snake or two.I was a bleeding heart for any mammal or amphibian/ snake. I cherished my pets, and the relationship we had. They kept me safe during my parents divorce, and I kept them safe from injuries and the tyranny of my little brother.I had a cat named Taz too. Him and Cocoa were best friends. They'd groom each other, Taz liked to clean Cocoas ears and sleep next to him. It was a really cute animal relationship. That cat was my saving grace during my parents divorce. He seemed like a little personal angel. He arrived when I needed him the most, and then disappeared when I was feeling happy again. I'm just reflecting on how I need...

I know I'm a little late, since we have been married now for a year and 6 months, or something like that, but who's counting?   Here are some of the one year anniversary photos that Amy Elise Allen Photography took for us. She Did an amazing job! The pictures turned out so cute, even though Mark had helmet hair from riding his bike thirty minutes up Provo canyon, and it was seriously cold outside. We had a lot of fun doing this photo shoot, and I'm so glad Amy took them, she's so fun.          One year down, a bazillion, million to go.  I love this guy! He is one hard worker, he goes to school, and works and makes me breakfast 90% of the mornings that I've been married to him. Better than that, he actually tries to understand me, and my sometimes chaotic family. Really though, I know he loves them. I couldn't have found someone more balanced, that fits in so well with my family dynamics, because really we can a bit to handle f...
